Pedestrian Safety at Intersections
Intersections can be challenging areas for both pedestrians and drivers because vehicles may turn or cross in several directions. Pedestrians should use marked crossings when available and remain alert for approaching vehicles.
Drivers should slow down near intersections and watch carefully for people crossing the roadway. Checking for pedestrians before turning can help reduce the risk of a serious collision.
