Decatur, AL (January 19, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Point Mallard Parkway and 6th Avenue Southeast resulted in reported injuries on Saturday afternoon. Emergency medical services and fire crews were dispatched to the scene shortly before 4:55 p.m. on January 17 to assist those involved.
Responding units worked to assess injuries on-site, though the total number of individuals hurt has not yet been officially released. Both vehicles sustained damage in the crash, and medics were seen evaluating occupants for treatment. It remains unclear whether any of the injured parties required transport to a local hospital.
The intersection, located near one of Decatur’s main thoroughfares, experienced a temporary traffic disruption as responders secured the area and began their investigation. The cause of the crash remains under review.
