Delaware County, OH (March 2, 2026) – A 17-year-old girl was killed Friday afternoon, February 27, after being struck by an SUV while riding an electric scooter along State Route 750.
According to reports, 22-year-old Aviv Bukobza was driving a Mazda CX-50 southeast on the roadway when the collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. Authorities said the teen, later identified as Anastasia Jehorek, was riding northwest on the southeast shoulder of the road and was facing traffic at the time.
Investigators said Bukobza moved out of his lane and struck the scooter rider. Emergency units responded to the scene, where Jehorek was pronounced dead. Bukobza was not hurt and remained at the scene.
Bukobza has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and a marked lane violation and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 2.
