Roane County, TN (July 5, 2026) – A Roane County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a crash involving a patrol vehicle on Highway 58 near the Meigs County line on Friday, July 3.
Authorities said the crash occurred in Roane County along Highway 58, not far from the Meigs–Roane county line. The deputy was operating a patrol vehicle when the crash happened under circumstances that have not yet been released. The deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were reported as not life-threatening.
Officials have not released the deputy’s name. No other injuries were reported in connection with the incident. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into what led up to the crash.
