Blythe, CA (July 15, 2026) – A driver was hurt in a two-vehicle collision involving a Kia sedan and a semi-truck on Tuesday morning, July 14, on Defrain Boulevard near W 14th Avenue in Blythe.
The collision was reported at approximately 7:59 a.m. Dispatch information indicated a Kia Optima and a truck were involved, with the Kia coming to rest in the lanes. A semi-truck was reported on the right shoulder farther up W 14th Avenue.
The Kia driver appeared to be hurt and was reported holding her arm and chest while remaining inside the vehicle. Tow service was requested, and emergency units were sent to assist. The identities of those involved and the extent of the injuries were not released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as additional details become available.
