Wanatah, IN (June 29, 2026) – A driver was killed, and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Main Street in Wanatah. Emergency units responded to the 200 block of Main Street before 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 27.
Officials reported that a green 1998 Mazda pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Allyn Brown was traveling north on Main Street. A maroon 2016 GMC pickup truck driven by a 65-year-old man was traveling south when the Mazda reportedly crossed the center of the roadway and struck the GMC head-on.
The GMC left the roadway after the impact and crashed into a residence. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. The GMC driver and his adult passenger suffered minor injuries and received treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
