Minneola, KS (August 11, 2026) – Two truck drivers suffered suspected minor injuries early on Sunday, August 9, after two semitrailers collided on US-54 at Front Street and Maple Street in Minneola. The crash was reported around 12:37 a.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2023 Freightliner semitrailer was traveling east as it entered Minneola at a high rate of speed. As the Freightliner entered a curve, it rolled onto the driver’s side. The truck was then struck by a westbound 2023 Volvo semitrailer as it was coming to a stop.
The Freightliner driver, 40-year-old Yu Liu of Jurupa Valley, California, was taken to Minneola Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The Volvo driver, 29-year-old Sukhraj Singh of Fresno, California, was also transported to Minneola Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
