Dunklin, MO (January 21, 2026) – A devastating accident on US 412 in Senath claimed the life of one woman and left two others with serious injuries on Tuesday afternoon, leading to a large emergency response and an extensive investigation by authorities.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:13 p.m. on January 20 along US 412. Reports indicate that a westbound 2012 Toyota Scion TC and an eastbound 2023 Buick Envision were involved in a head-on accident in the area. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles, leaving them disabled at the scene.
Fire crews and emergency medical services arrived quickly to provide aid to those involved. Paramedics assessed multiple victims suffering from a variety of injuries. A 37-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, who was driving the Toyota, along with a 32-year-old female passenger from Jonesboro, Arkansas, sustained serious injuries. Due to the severity of their conditions, both were airlifted to Regional One Health Medical Center in Memphis for advanced medical treatment.
The driver of the Buick Envision, a 59-year-old woman from Cardwell, Missouri, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dunklin County Coroner. Her body was later transported to the Dunklin County Morgue.
Both vehicles involved in the accident sustained total damage and were removed from the roadway by Rudis Towing. Traffic in the area was impacted for an extended period while crews worked to clear the scene and investigators documented evidence.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the accident remains under investigation by Trooper J. M. Tomaszewski with assistance from the Major Crash Team. Officials have not released additional details at this time as the investigation continues.
