Sacramento, CA (August 16, 2026) – An injury-related two-vehicle crash was reported on westbound Interstate 80 near Truxel Road in Sacramento early Friday morning, August 14. The collision occurred around 12:26 a.m. and blocked the No. 2 lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident log, a white pickup truck collided with another vehicle before both vehicles went off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch. One vehicle was described as a larger pickup truck, while the other was reported as a dark-colored sedan or hatchback.
Debris was reported across two right lanes following the crash. Emergency crews responded, and an ambulance was requested for at least one person involved. Tow trucks were also called to remove the damaged vehicles.
