San Francisco, CA (July 21, 2026) – An elderly man was hurt in a four-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon, July 20, on eastbound I-80 just west of the Treasure Island off-ramp in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol reports, the crash was reported at about 3:26 p.m. and involved four vehicles, including a white Toyota Camry or Honda Accord and a van. The vehicles blocked the middle lanes before all eastbound lanes were temporarily obstructed. Debris was scattered across the roadway, further delaying traffic.
Emergency units were requested to the roadway, and fire personnel were notified shortly after the initial report. Dispatch logs indicated that an elderly man suffered a facial injury during the collision. By around 3:41 p.m., lanes 3, 4, and 5 remained blocked while crews worked to clear the roadway and restore traffic flow.
The cause of the collision is still being examined, and additional information may be released as the review continues.
