What Information Is Commonly Reviewed After a Head-On Collision?
Head-on crashes are among the most serious types of roadway accidents because the force of impact involves vehicles traveling toward one another. After such incidents, investigators often review vehicle positions, roadway markings, witness statements, and physical evidence from the scene.
Other factors may include weather conditions, visibility, traffic patterns, and whether a vehicle left its designated lane before the collision. Damage patterns on the vehicles can also help reconstruct how the crash occurred. In some cases, investigators examine mechanical issues, driver actions, or medical events that may have contributed to the incident. Gathering and reviewing these details can provide a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding a crash and help determine the sequence of events leading up to the collision.
