Elgin, IL (January 10, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash in Elgin on Friday evening resulted in injuries, including to a pregnant woman who reported abdominal pain following the collision. The crash occurred just east of the intersection of McDonald Road and Corron Road around 5:29 p.m., prompting a rapid response from multiple fire and medical units.
Engine 7, Ambulance 22, and Ambulance 4 were among the emergency crews dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found two vehicles involved, one of which had veered off the roadway. A female occupant of a Hyundai sedan, identified as two months pregnant, complained of abdominal pain and was given immediate medical attention.
Paramedics began treatment on site while managing traffic around the crash scene. A Spanish-speaking officer was also requested to assist, indicating that language support was needed during the response.
Elgin Fire crews coordinated efforts using a dedicated operations channel to manage the incident safely and effectively. The condition of other individuals involved has not been publicly released, and the full circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
