Understanding Multi-Vehicle Crashes on Highways
Collisions involving multiple vehicles on highways often occur when drivers fail to maintain safe distances or react in time to traffic conditions. Even low-speed impacts can cause injuries to drivers and passengers, particularly in older vehicles or when occupants are not wearing safety restraints.
Emergency responders focus on quickly securing the scene, treating injured individuals, and clearing traffic to prevent further accidents. Highways with multiple lanes require extra caution from all drivers, as unexpected lane changes or slow reactions can lead to crashes.
