Understanding Head-On Collisions and Alcohol Involvement
Head-on crashes are among the most dangerous types of accidents because the combined speed of two vehicles can produce severe or fatal injuries. Alcohol impairment can further increase the risk, as it slows reaction times and affects judgment.
Seat belts and safety restraints are critical in reducing the severity of injuries, but their absence can significantly worsen outcomes. Investigators typically review vehicle positions, roadway conditions, and any impairment factors to understand how such collisions occur and prevent future incidents.
