What Happens During Multi-Vehicle Crashes on Major Highways
Multi-vehicle accidents on highways like I-90 or near exits happen when traffic is heavy or vehicles stop suddenly. Collisions involving large trucks can cause additional damage due to their size and weight. In these situations, emergency responders focus first on checking for injuries and securing the scene to prevent further accidents.
Traffic is often redirected or slowed while vehicles are cleared, and road conditions, vehicle damage, and driver actions are usually reviewed afterward. Understanding these factors helps explain how chain-reaction crashes can occur and why managing traffic around accident scenes is important for safety.
