Escambia County, FL (January 9, 2026) – A serious crash on Quintette Rd on Thursday afternoon left two people hospitalized after a pickup truck veered off the roadway and struck multiple trees. The incident occurred near Rocky Branch Rd and prompted an urgent response from Escambia County Fire Rescue and EMS.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 50-year-old Pensacola man was attempting to pass another vehicle when he lost control of his pickup truck. The vehicle went off the road, crossed a guardrail, and slammed into two trees. The impact caused significant damage and left both occupants trapped inside.
Fire rescue crews worked quickly to extricate the driver and his passenger, a 51-year-old woman also from Pensacola. Both were transported by Escambia County EMS to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
