What Can Cause Vehicles to Cross a Highway Median?
Highways like Highway 151 often have medians designed to separate traffic moving in opposite directions. However, vehicles can still cross these barriers due to sudden steering changes, driver distraction, or loss of control.
Routes carrying regional traffic near Highway 151 and County Road E34 can experience delays after accidents. Crews in Fairview prioritize clearing hazards to restore safe travel conditions.
When a vehicle enters oncoming lanes, the risk of a severe crash increases due to the force of impact. Factors such as speed, road conditions, and driver awareness can all influence how and why a vehicle leaves its intended lane.
