Milwaukee, WI (July 5, 2026) – A 27-year-old driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Friday night near Arlington Gardens in Milwaukee, and another driver has been taken into custody.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on July 3 at the intersection of Appleton Avenue and Congress Street.
Investigators said a 28-year-old driver was traveling southeast on Appleton Avenue when their vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old traveling northwest on Appleton Avenue.
The 27-year-old driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members.
Officials arrested the 28-year-old driver following the crash; they have not announced what charges, if any, have been filed, and the circumstances leading up to the collision remain under investigation. The Milwaukee Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash.
