Harrington, DE (June 28, 2026) – Two people are dead, and another is suffering life-threatening injuries after a high-speed crash on Friday night on Milford Harrington Highway near Church Hill Road in the Harrington area.
The crash reportedly happened at about 9:15 p.m. on June 26. Reports from the Delaware State Police stated that a Ford Mustang was traveling westbound on Milford Harrington Highway at a high rate of speed as it approached the intersection with Church Hill Road. At the same time, a Nissan Rogue had turned right onto the highway from Church Hill Road.
Investigators said the Mustang struck the rear of the Nissan, causing it to spin, overturn into a utility pole, and catch fire. The driver and passenger of the Nissan were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not been released pending notification of their families. The 36-year-old driver of the Mustang, from Harrington, was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The highway remained closed for about four hours while crews worked at the scene.
