Milwaukee, WI (July 9, 2026) – A 47-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision while crossing the street near South 22nd Street and West National Avenue in Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 7, around 10:30 p.m
Authorities identified the victim as Troy Joseph Lewek. According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office, Lewek was struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway and was later struck by a second vehicle while lying in the street. Lewek suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said both drivers involved left the area without stopping. Officials have not released descriptions of the vehicles or the drivers involved.
