Fayetteville, NC (January 10, 2026) – A serious vehicle accident with injuries was reported Friday afternoon near the intersection of Cliffdale Rd and I-295 in Fayetteville. The incident occurred at approximately 4:56 p.m. on January 9, prompting a large emergency response.
Fire and rescue crews from multiple units, including Engine 8, Engine 11, Engine 15, Rescue 2, Squad 17, Truck 8, and Battalion 2, were dispatched to the scene. Initial radio traffic indicated that at least one individual was pinned inside a vehicle following the crash. Emergency crews worked to extricate the person while providing on-site medical care.
The number of vehicles involved and the extent of injuries have not been officially confirmed. Responders operated on TAC 1 communications as they coordinated rescue operations and managed the scene.
