FINCASTLE, Botetourt County, Va., Nov. 2, 2026 — Three people were evaluated and treated by emergency crews on Saturday afternoon, October 31, after a single-vehicle crash left a vehicle overturned in Botetourt County, with one occupant trapped inside.
The Fincastle Volunteer Fire Department said crews responded at about 1:45 p.m. to the 6500 block of Botetourt Road for a reported crash with possible entrapment. Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle resting on its roof.
Two occupants had gotten out before fire crews reached the scene. A third remained trapped inside, and firefighters worked to stabilize the vehicle before removing the driver's door to free that person.
All three occupants were evaluated and treated by EMS personnel, according to the fire department. The extent of their injuries has not been released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
