Why Highway Collisions Between SUVs Can Cause Injuries
Crashes between SUVs often involve significant vehicle mass, which can increase forces during impact. Even when seat belts are used, sudden collisions can lead to injuries due to rapid deceleration or movement inside the vehicle.
Road conditions, vehicle speeds, and each vehicle’s position within the lane can all influence how a crash unfolds. Emergency responders typically assess the scene for hazards, provide medical care, and coordinate transport to hospitals for those injured.
Seat belts remain one of the most effective ways to reduce injury severity in multi-vehicle collisions, even on dry roads.
