Fort Worth, TX (July 15, 2026) – Four drivers were involved in a chain-reaction crash early on Tuesday, July 14, on southbound Interstate 820 near Ramey Avenue in Fort Worth.
According to the police, the collision occurred at approximately 2 a.m. when a 26-foot U-Haul truck struck the rear of a truck. The force of the collision pushed that vehicle into another truck, which was then pushed into a city street sweeper. The driver of the U-Haul was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The remaining three drivers sustained minor injuries but did not require transportation to a hospital. The crash prompted the closure of all southbound lanes of Interstate 820 at Ramey Avenue while crews cleared the roadway and documented the scene. Investigators continue to examine what led to the four-vehicle collision.
