Fremont, CA (January 15, 2026) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a pickup truck on January 12 at Cushing Parkway and Northport Loop as 49-year-old Andrew Barret Mackenzie of San Jose.
According to the Fremont Police Department, Mackenzie was riding eastbound on Cushing Parkway when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection. Emergency personnel, including firefighters and medics, responded to the scene shortly after the crash. Mackenzie was evaluated on-site for major injuries and transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased approximately one hour after the accident.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured and remained at the scene, cooperating with investigators. The cause of the collision is still under review, and police are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
