Fresno, CA (January 4, 2026) – A 17-year-old boy from Kansas lost his life in a tragic motorcycle collision near the intersection of Auberry Rd and Summit Mountain Rd, just outside Fresno. The fatal crash drew an immediate response from emergency crews and the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders from Fresno County and CHP officers arrived at the scene shortly before 3 p.m. after receiving reports of a severe collision involving a motorcycle and a Ford F-350 truck. Medics and fire crews worked to assist the young motorcyclist, who had been ejected approximately 75 feet from the point of impact. Despite efforts to perform CPR at the scene, the teen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on-site.
Authorities confirmed that the teen had been riding alongside a family member when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided with the pickup truck. The driver of the Ford F-350 was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
CHP officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash. No names have been released pending family notifications, and it remains unclear what factors may have contributed to the collision.
