Fresno, CA (May 16, 2026) – A man riding a motorbike was killed on Friday night, May 15, after being struck by a suspected impaired driver at the intersection of Gettysburg Avenue and Millbrook Avenue in Northeast Fresno.
Police responded shortly after 10 p.m. to reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian incident. When emergency units arrived, they discovered a car with major front-end damage and a motorbike pinned beneath it. A man was also found under the vehicle, and firefighters immediately began life-saving efforts. Despite those efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to early witness statements, the driver of the car veered into a bike lane while traveling north on Millbrook Ave just moments before the collision. The driver remained at the scene, cooperated with officers, and was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Authorities have not provided additional details as the investigation continues.
