Serious Injury Crashes at Park Entrances and Intersections
Collisions occurring near park exits and intersections can become especially dangerous when vehicles are entering or crossing active roadways. Limited visibility, traffic speed, and failure to properly judge approaching vehicles may all contribute to severe crashes.
Safety officials continue to emphasize the importance of wearing seat belts, which significantly reduce the risk of fatal and life-threatening injuries in motor vehicle accidents. Drivers are also urged to use extra caution when turning onto busy roads, especially during nighttime hours when visibility may be reduced.
