Gary, IN (February 2, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident involving reported injuries near the All Star gas station on Broadway in Gary on February 1. The incident occurred around 12:22 p.m. and involved a personal injury (PI), according to dispatch radio traffic from Lake County Public Safety.
Units arrived on scene to check for injuries in the gas station parking lot. Medical personnel were dispatched to assess those involved, though the number of individuals injured has not yet been confirmed. The vehicle involved was linked to a license plate flagged for a failure to appear warrant out of LaPorte County, and law enforcement remained on scene to investigate further.
Additional parties at the location were interviewed, and one individual reportedly walked around the side of the building before officers arrived. It’s unclear whether this person was directly involved in the collision or was a witness.
The crash remains under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the full scope of the incident and any legal implications.
