Grand Rapids, MI (January 16, 2026) – A traffic accident on southbound US-131 near Leonard Street left two individuals injured on January 14. Emergency crews were dispatched to the area following reports of a crash involving at least two patients requiring medical attention.
Radio communication from the scene indicated that one of the injured individuals was conscious but not fully alert at the time of assessment. EMS and fire crews responded promptly, despite also monitoring a separate fire alarm incident at Porter Hills on East Fulton.
Traffic along US-131 was likely impacted during the response as crews worked to stabilize those involved and assess the scene. The identities and conditions of the injured individuals have not yet been confirmed, and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
