What Can Lead to Vehicles Crossing the Center Line?
Roads like State Road 22 often carry traffic in both directions without physical barriers. When a vehicle crosses the center line, it can quickly lead to serious crashes, especially when larger vehicles like trucks are involved.
Driver distraction, fatigue, or sudden medical issues can cause a vehicle to drift out of its lane. In some cases, road conditions or speed may also contribute to a loss of control.
Head-on and multi-vehicle crashes often occur when drivers cannot correct their path in time. Staying focused, maintaining proper speed, and being aware of lane position can help reduce the risk of crossing into oncoming traffic.
