Greenville, NY (January 28, 2026) – A serious motor vehicle accident involving a car and a tractor-trailer resulted in entrapment on Tuesday afternoon on I-84 westbound near mile marker 3.3. Greenville Fire and Huguenot Fire responded to the scene shortly after 2:15 p.m., according to Orange County Fire Control.
The crash caused significant damage to the involved vehicles and left at least one occupant trapped inside the car. Rescue crews worked urgently to extricate the individual using specialized equipment while paramedics stood by to provide immediate medical care.
The westbound lanes of I-84 were heavily impacted as emergency teams worked the scene. Additional units were called to assist in managing the situation, and traffic was diverted while extrication and cleanup operations continued.
