Greenwood, SC (January 20, 2026) – A tragic incident early Tuesday morning in Greenwood County claimed the life of a 72-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Highway 25, according to local authorities.

The Greenwood County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Timothy Allen Goldman. The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on January 20. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but sadly confirmed that Goldman died from blunt force trauma sustained in the impact.

The driver involved remained at the scene, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. No further details have been released regarding contributing factors or whether charges are being considered.
