Hampton, VA (January 19, 2026) – Multiple emergency units responded Sunday afternoon to a vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Armistead Ave and Pembroke Ave in Hampton, prompting a coordinated rescue effort in the city’s District One.
The incident was reported shortly after noon, and two medic units—Medic 2 and Medic 3—were dispatched to assist crews already on scene. Emergency personnel from Station One were among the first to arrive and begin administering aid to those hurt in the crash.
Initial reports indicated that at least one person sustained injuries during the collision. Paramedics provided treatment on-site and transported injured individuals to a nearby hospital for further care. The total number of people involved has not yet been released.
The area around the intersection experienced temporary traffic delays as responders managed the scene and ensured road safety. Authorities are still working to determine what led to the accident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
