South Los Angeles, CA (January 19, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning left one person dead and another critically injured, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:05 a.m. at 1359 W Slauson Ave. Emergency crews with the LAFD responded quickly to the scene, where they found two vehicles with significant damage.
One individual was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. Another victim was transported in critical condition to a nearby hospital. Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and no further details regarding their ages or relationships were provided.
