Hampton, VA (January 22, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched on Wednesday afternoon to a reported collision involving a vehicle and a motorized scooter along East Mercury Blvd near the intersection with North Hope St.
The incident occurred around 2:09 p.m. on January 21 in District Two. Units from Engine Four, Medic Four, and EMS One arrived at the scene to assess the situation and provide care. Initial dispatch audio indicated that a pedestrian on a motorized scooter may have been struck by a vehicle, though full details have not been officially confirmed.
While the extent of injuries was not immediately clear, medical personnel evaluated those involved and determined that some units could be cleared from the scene shortly after arrival. It is unknown at this time if any individuals were transported to the hospital.
