Hampton, VA (January 11, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon near the I-64 eastbound ramp on W Mercury Blvd. The collision, which took place around 1:45 p.m., resulted in at least one person sustaining injuries.
Medical personnel treated victims at the scene and confirmed that one individual was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of injuries has not yet been disclosed. Both vehicles remained on site during the initial stages of the investigation.
The crash took place near a major access point for interstate traffic, a common location for merging-related collisions. Hampton Police and other authorities are actively reviewing the incident to determine the cause.
