Hancock County, OH (May 17, 2026) – Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash on U.S. 68 near State Route 15, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers reported that the crash occurred just after 8 p.m. Samuel Saum, 48, suffered life-threatening injuries, while his passenger, Christine Lomeli, 53, sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews responded quickly, with Saum being airlifted to a Toledo hospital for treatment, and Lomeli treated at the scene. The motorcycle reportedly lost control and went off the roadway, causing both riders to be ejected.
The circumstances that led to the crash are still under investigation by state authorities.
