What Makes Intersections High-Risk Areas for Crashes?
Intersections are among the most common locations for vehicle collisions due to the crossing paths of traffic and the need for drivers to make quick decisions.
Crashes often occur when drivers fail to yield, misjudge another vehicle’s speed, or are distracted. Even low-speed impacts can result in injuries due to the angle of collision.
Additionally, fluid leaks and debris from crashes can create hazards for other motorists, requiring quick response from emergency crews to secure the scene.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, remain alert, and follow traffic signals carefully when approaching intersections.
