Why Multi-Car Crashes Lead to Severe Injuries
Multi-vehicle crashes can cause serious harm because several vehicles may strike one another within seconds. Drivers and passengers can face repeated force from different directions, especially at busy intersections or high-traffic roads. In many cases, damaged vehicles may trap occupants inside, making rescue efforts more difficult.
After a major roadway collision, medical teams often evaluate people for head trauma, internal injuries, and broken bones. Some symptoms may not appear immediately, even when a person initially feels stable, the adrenaline of the crash can mask those injuries; this is why it is important to seek immediate medical attention.
Vehicle damage, skid marks, traffic signals, and witness accounts are also commonly reviewed to better understand how the chain-reaction sequence unfolded. Intersections with heavy traffic volumes can become especially dangerous when drivers have limited time to react to sudden stops or turning vehicles.
