Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed what happened or has information that could help identify the driver to come forward. A public tip line has been established through the local police department as detectives continue gathering evidence.
The circumstances leading up to the fatality have not yet been disclosed. Investigators are continuing to examine the case to determine exactly what occurred.
Our heartfelt sympathies are with Michael Przytula’s family and friends during this difficult time.
Why Hit-and-Run Investigations Mostly Depend on Witness Information
Hit-and-run cases can be especially difficult because the driver leaves before their identity is established. Investigators commonly rely on witness statements, nearby surveillance cameras, vehicle debris, and physical evidence left on the roadway to piece together what happened.
Even small details, such as the color of a vehicle, the direction it traveled, or the time it was seen, may help narrow the search. Businesses, apartment complexes, and traffic cameras located near the roadway can also provide valuable footage. As additional evidence is reviewed, investigators may be able to identify the vehicle involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal roadway encounter.
