What Is Typically Assessed in Minor Two-Car Intersection Crashes
In two-vehicle intersection crashes, investigators usually focus on right-of-way, traffic signal status, and vehicle positioning at the moment of impact. These factors help determine how both drivers entered the intersection.
Even when injuries are not severe, damage patterns can provide useful information about speed, direction, and braking before the collision. Airbag deployment is also noted in the overall impact assessment.
In these cases, road closures are often short-term, allowing crews to document the scene and safely remove vehicles. Once cleared, traffic flow typically resumes after debris is removed and the roadway is inspected.
