Fontana, CA (August 31, 2026) – A traffic collision involving a Honda and a semi-truck was reported on Saturday, August 29, on eastbound Interstate 10 near Sierra Avenue in Fontana.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, a gray Honda crashed into the back of a white semi-truck with a Walmart trailer. The Honda ended up underneath the semi, and flames were reported coming from beneath the vehicles. Two right lanes were blocked, with additional lanes affected as crews responded.
The Honda driver was reported alive and being assisted by Good Samaritans. By approximately 9:38 a.m., CHP reported that minor injuries were being reported. Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, including the heavily loaded semi.
