Safety Considerations for Moped Riders
Moped crashes can lead to severe injuries, particularly to the head and limbs, due to the limited protection they provide. Wearing a helmet and protective clothing is critical for reducing the risk of life-threatening injuries.
Collisions often happen at intersections when vehicles fail to see or yield to mopeds. Speed, impaired driving, and lack of visibility can also contribute. Emergency responders assess the severity of injuries immediately and transport victims to hospitals when injuries are serious. Staying alert and following traffic laws can help reduce the risk of serious crashes for moped riders.
