Why Rear-End Collisions Often Lead to Multi-Vehicle Crashes
Rear-end crashes are a common cause of chain-reaction accidents, especially in areas with turning traffic or parking lot entrances. When a vehicle is struck from behind, it can be pushed into other cars, increasing the risk of injury and property damage.
Even low-speed impacts can cause injuries, particularly when occupants are jolted suddenly. Factors such as distraction, reduced following distance, or sudden stops often contribute to these crashes.
Drivers approaching intersections, turns, or parking areas should remain alert and maintain enough space to stop safely. Awareness and defensive driving can help prevent chain-reaction collisions in busy traffic areas.
