How Sudden Stops Can Lead to School Bus Injuries in Huntsville
Sudden braking is one of the more common causes of injuries on school buses. When a driver is forced to stop quickly, passengers who are not fully braced can be jolted forward, even at lower speeds. This can lead to minor injuries such as bumps or bruises.
In Huntsville, busy roads like Drake Avenue often see heavy traffic and unexpected lane changes. These conditions can increase the chances of abrupt stops, especially when other vehicles move unpredictably in front of larger vehicles like buses.
School buses are built with safety features such as high-backed seats and reinforced structures. However, sudden movements can still affect students, particularly if they are not seated securely at the time of the stop.
