Indianapolis, IN (January 13, 2026) – A 50-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on January 12 near the intersection of East 15th St and North Post Rd in the East Warren neighborhood. The incident occurred around 5:36 p.m., prompting a swift response from Engine 43, Medic 41, and Indianapolis EMS.
According to first responders, the man was hit by a silver Toyota Condra traveling at approximately 20 mph as it pulled out of a driveway across from Post Rd. The impact caused an obvious deformity to the victim’s right hip, which emergency crews quickly recognized as a likely fracture. He was conscious at the scene and in significant pain but did not lose consciousness during the incident.
Medics stabilized the man using a cervical collar and placed him in a position of comfort on the stretcher. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital with a blood pressure reading of 133/74, heart rate of 86, and oxygen saturation of 99%. He had received intravenous pain management en route and was under cardiac monitoring due to irregular rhythms observed in the ambulance.
Authorities remained at the scene to investigate the crash. All parties involved were reported to be on site and cooperative with responders.
