Grady County, GA (August 8, 2026) – Four people were hurt on Thursday morning in a head-on collision on Pierce Chapel Road in Grady County, including an infant who suffered life-threatening injuries.
The two-vehicle accident happened after one vehicle entered the opposing lane and struck the other vehicle head-on. The driver of one vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The driver and a juvenile passenger in the second vehicle suffered serious injuries and were flown to Tallahassee for treatment. An infant traveling as a passenger in that vehicle was flown to Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries. No deaths had been confirmed as of the initial report.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing as investigators work to determine the circumstances that led to the vehicles entering the same lane.
