San Diego, CA (June 28, 2026) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles disrupted westbound I-8 at I-805 in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, June 25.
According to dispatch records, four vehicles were initially reported blocking the right lane near the I-805 interchange. Early reports indicated a white pickup truck and a dark-colored sport utility vehicle were involved. Additional updates later described a three-vehicle crash involving a white pickup truck, a blue Chevrolet SUV, and another unidentified vehicle.
The vehicles reportedly spun out following the collision, and a heavily damaged pickup truck blocked the two right lanes. Traffic was affected as westbound lanes three and four remained obstructed for a period of time. Tow trucks were requested to clear the damaged vehicles, and lane closures remained in place while crews worked to reopen the roadway.
By approximately 2:43 p.m., all lanes had reopened, and traffic management measures were deactivated. Information regarding injuries, identities, and the circumstances leading up to the crash was not immediately available.
