San Diego, CA (June 28, 2026) – An injury traffic collision involving multiple vehicles was reported on the northbound I-805 near the State Route 52 interchange in San Diego.
According to dispatch records, the first calls came in around 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, June 25. Initial reports indicated a red vehicle and a gray Hyundai Tucson were stopped on the right shoulder, with a motorcycle rider reportedly down nearby. Additional information later indicated several separate collisions in the same vicinity involving multiple vehicles, including a white pickup truck, a dark-colored sport utility vehicle, a blue Chevrolet SUV, and at least one other vehicle.
Records show some vehicles spun out following the chain-reaction crash, and lanes were temporarily blocked as emergency units worked in the area. One heavily damaged pickup truck reportedly obstructed two right lanes, causing significant traffic disruption. At least three vehicles required towing from the freeway.
The extent of any injuries was not immediately released, and the identities of those involved were not made public. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances surrounding the collisions.
